DescriptionEngraved Pair of Fine Percussion Parlor Pistols.
Approximately .70 caliber, 8 1/4-inch octagonal damascus barrels. Banded and engraved breeches with silver inlays and each with a numeral 1. Engraved hammers and locks. Each pistol with steel belt hook. Fine carved and checkered stocks of figured hardwood. Identical thumb-rest escutcheons reading: E.H.V./BLACKSEA/1854-5. (Likely a remembrance of Crimea). Fine floral-engraving to forearm caps, triggerguards and buttplates. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.
Condition: Both very good. All steel with a gray patina and scattered patches of fine pitting and staining. Stocks very good with scattered scratches. Actions good.
