    Rare and Beautiful Engraved Set

Cased Pair of LePage Parlor Pistols.
Both pistols approximately .54 caliber, 10-inch octagonal barrel with damascus pattern. German silver front and notched rear sights. Scroll-engraved hammers terminating in fish head figurals. Engraved locks with gold LEPAGE A PARIS in gold oval. Back plates and screws with fine, extensive scroll-engraving in the form of wings. Elaborate finger rest guards engraved with scroll work, terminating in floral motif on both trigger guard finials and buttcaps. Fine checkered and carved French walnut stocks with brass thumbrest. The pair contained in French fitted, green cloth-lined hardwood case with brass furniture. Sold together with complete set of tools including hammer, bullet mold, and pineapple powder flask with gradients marked: 35/40/45/50.

Condition: Fine. Both pistols retain strong traces of original finish, now a thin, smooth brown patina. Wood is excellent with age wear and light soiling. Case and accessories are fine. Age wear and patina throughout. Lining has wrinkled with age and showing some dryness. Case has replacement hinge screws and newer varnish. An incredible find.
