    Cased Pair of Belgian Salon Percussion Pistols and Accoutrements by Theodore Bodson, Liege. .50 caliber, 10 1/4-inch blued octagonal barrels with dovetailed, shallow front sights and notched open rear sights. Top flats with gold-inlaid legend reading: Th Bodson Arq a Liege. Case-hardened breechblocks, the tops inlaid with 1 and 2 consecutively. Upper tangs, hammers, percussion lockplates and spurred triggerguards engraved with floral scrolls. Beautifully carved burl walnut fluted stocks with relief-carved floral scroll panels on fore-ends. German silver oval wedge escutcheons with engraved borders. Scalloped steel pommel caps engraved en suite. Both pistols contained in original dusty rose, velour-lined French style walnut case with keyholed front and re-enforcement brass corner bands and lid escutcheon. Accompanied by the following: a steel two-cavity bullet mold with sprue cutter; ebony and ivory screwdriver handle with reversible screwdriver blade and nipple wrench; powder scoop; two-piece brass cleaning rod with spool handle; ebony ramrod with brass tip; two lacquered ebony nipple containers with threaded lids and single lead ball in corner compartment. Theodore Bodson, Liege, 1843-1851. Condition: Guns are both excellent with light handling and storage wear present. Accoutrements are good to very good with light wear and patina present. Case very good, with fading to lining and light wear and blemishes to exterior.
