    Cased J.G. Bolen Agent-Marked Allen Pepperbox Revolver. NSNV, .36 caliber, 4-inch barrel cluster marked: Bolen 104 B'way, N.Y.. Scroll-engraved frame. Blued finish. Case-hardened bar hammer marked: J.G. Bolen, N.Y. Top of hammer marked: Allen's Patent. Varnished walnut bag-shaped grips with German silver oval escutcheons. Contained in original dusty rose velour-lined partitioned walnut case, together with the following accoutrements: 1) panel pattern small brass powder flask . 2) blued unmarked two-cavity bullet mold. 3) steel cleaning rod with wooden handle. 4) small japanned Eley Bros. London cap tin. 5) lead bullet supply. No key present. Condition: Pepperbox: Excellent as partially refinished. Barrel cluster retaining approximately 95-98% reblued finish with light wear present. Frame and gripstrap retaining approximately 70-75% blue finish with scattered wear and flaking. Vibrant case-hardening on hammer. Grips excellent. Action crisp. Accoutrements showing scattered wear and age patina. Case with light wear and minor separations to partitions. No key present.
