    Description

    Cased French Flintlock Pistol.
    Approximately .64 caliber, 10 3/4-inch polished steel barrel. Breech, lock and hammer with brass inlay. Varnished and checkered walnut stock. Brass furniture, the thimble and triggerguard being engraved. Vacant, oval wrist escutcheon. Ornately chased and engraved butt decorated with floral figurals, canon and drum. Hardwood ramrod in trumpet configuration. Contained in modern hardwood case with brass fittings and hardware.

    Condition: Very good to fine. Steel a smooth gray patina with scattered patches of fine pitting. Gold and brass with a rich age patina. Stock very good having been re-varnished long ago and showing light dents and handling wear.
