    C. 1780 Brass Mounted British Blunderbuss Pistol. Scarce form. Iron, round faced convex lockplate and hammer, with reinforced pan, marked "Richards / London". 6 3/16" octagon to round brass barrel marked "London" with three proof marks, and bore diameter just under 1.5". Fine walnut stock with relief carved panel around the barrel tang featuring a shell pattern. Brass butt cap, trigger guard and ramrod pipes, as well as brass washers under lock screw heads.
