    Inscribed Colt Single Action Army Revolver. Serial no. 190921, .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with single-line Hartford address. Two-line Colt patent dates. Butt inscribed and backstrap rocker engraved: John Blanton. Period Colt ivory grips with nine notches sawed into back edge of right grip. Sold with Colt factory letter confirming serial number, caliber and blue finish. Grips unlisted. Shipped in a group of 15 guns. Shipped to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis, Mo. on November 6, 1899.
    Condition: Good. Metal with smooth grey-brown age patina with traces of an old refinish in protected areas and minor pitting on gripstrap, frame and cylinder. Inscriptions as described. Grips with mellow age patina. Action tight and crisp.
