    Smith & Wesson Model 66 Chicago Police Department Commemorative Double Action Revolver. Serial no. 72K1872, .357 magnum caliber, 4-inch barrel, front and rear sights. Stainless steel finish. S&W brown wood grips. Chicago Police logo 1855-1980 on right side of frame. Contained in stained pine case with "Chicago Police Department / 125 Years of Service" marking on plaque on lower right corner of lid. Blue velvet lining. Presented to David Mamet by distinguished actor and shooter, Joe Mantegna.
    Condition: Very good. Overall light wear and scratches from handling. Case: Excellent. Action good. Bore is bright.

    David Mamet's Notes: This was a gift from my old friend Joe Mantegna. Joe and I have worked together since the sixties in Chicago, and used to spend a bit of time at the old Lincoln Park Gun Club, right on the Lake, shooting trap and skeet with Donny Moffett and Billy Petersen.
