    Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 Double Action Revolver.
    Serial no. 72846, .38 caliber, 6 1/2-inch barrel with integral front sight. Left side of barrel marked: .38 S&W SPECIAL/U.S.SERVICE CTG'S. Nickel-plated finish. Trigger guard screw. Checkered hard rubber factory grips with S&W monogram. Manufactured 1905-1906. Contained in U.S. military flap holster with reverse marked: ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1910/T.C.C. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

    Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 60-70% original factory nickel with scattered flaking and wear. Grips are fine having shifted to brown. Bore is good showing light wear and moderate pitting. Holster is fair to good. Leather is supple but with moderate crackling throughout.
