    Lot of Three Nickel-Plated Revolvers Including One Inscribed Example.

    Comprising: 1.) Inscribed Smith & Wesson Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 28614, .38 caliber, 3 1/4-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Left side of frame inscribed: USMHS / 1878 / DR. W.M. KEYES / FROM / DR. WYMAN. Checkered hard rubber grip panels. Note: According to consignor notes, revolver is from Norm Flayderman catalog #144, July, 1989. 2.) Iver Johnson Double Action Revolver. NVSN, .32 caliber, 3-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Case-hardened trigger. Checkered hard rubber grip panels. 3.) Harrington & Richardson Double Action Revolver. Serial no. 49523 [frame under grips], .38 caliber, 3 1/4-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Checkered hard rubber grip panels.
    Special Note: This S&W #28614 is pictured on page 199 of Gunsmoke and Saddle Leather by Charles G. Worman, 2005. According to consignor notes, Dr, Wyman was an assistant surgeon in 1878, being in charge of the United States Marine Hospital Service in St. Louis. The Keyes family had several notable military members as well as doctors. Lake Wyman in Boca Raton, FL was named for him as was Public Health Service boarding tug USPHS Walter Wyman.

    Condition: Very good. Each retaining 70-80% finish with noticeable areas of flaking, handling wear and pitting. Cracks, scuffs and dings present to grips. 1. and 3.) Action frozen. 2.) Action functions. Moderately pitted bores.
