    Inscribed Foot Officer's Sword and Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Revolver to Captain Edmond Richardson, 26th Michigan Infantry.

    Comprising: 1.) Inscribed 1850 Foot Officer's Sword. 30 1/2-inch blade with 22-inch fuller and unmarked ricasso. Inscription to left side reads: CPT. EDMOND RICHARDSON 26TH MICH. INF. Contained in original leather scabbard with brass furniture and mounts. Brass hand guard with wire wrapped handle. 2.) Inscribed Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 102819 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Brass backstrap engraved: CPT EDMOND RICHARDSON 26TH MICH. INF. Brass triggerguard. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1861. Sold along with Colt factory letter verifying specifics and dated March 1, 1995.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Honest age wear and scattered patches of pitting present to blade. Noticeable flaking and cracking present to leather. 2.) Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Few noticeable scuffs and dings present to grip. Crack to backstrap, right through the D in EDMOND. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
