    Description

    Boxed Smith & Wesson Double Action Revolver with Receipt.
    Serial no. 521000 [barrel and butt], .38 special caliber, 4-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Checkered walnut grip panels. Contained in factory pasteboard box. Sold along with handwritten receipt from Potchernick's Sporting Goods in San Antonio, Texas on May 20, 1926. Receipt is for $26.80 and lists caliber, barrel length, finish and serial number.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 94-96% finish with some scuffing to right side of barrel, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Vibrant case-hardening colors. Minor wear to grips. Action crisp. Bright bore. Heavy wear to box, side and corners busted. Age wear and some minor loss to receipt.
