    Matched Pair of French Percussion Pistols Made by Barbey of Paris. No visible serial number, .54 caliber (exact bore unknown), 5¼-inch part round, part octagonal polished barrels. Barrels with light floral engraving and borders with traces of gold accents. Breeches marked BARBEY and A PARIS, and the lock of one pistol marked BARBEY and the other pistol's lock marked A PARIS. Ornate trigger guard and ramrod ferrules. Concentric stacked pommels. Rounded locks. Walnut stocks with ornate carved floral motif around the tang, trigger guard, and ferrules. Wooden ramrods. Condition: Very good. A handsome pair with traces of the gold accents and scattered spotting to the metal surfaces. Stocks with some wear. Bores dark.
