    Comprising: 1.) Merrimack Arms Southerner Deringer. Serial no. 3385 [barrel and butt], .41 rimfire caliber, 2 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked: SOUTHERNER. Left side of barrel marked: MERRIMACK ARMS & MFG. CO. / NEWBURYPORT, MASS. / PATENTED APRIL 9, 1867. Spur trigger. Smooth rosewood grip panels. Flayderman 8A-034. 2.) Brown Mfg. Co. Southerner Deringer. Serial no. 3491, .41 rimfire caliber, 2 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Silver-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: SOUTHERNER. Left side of barrel marked: BROWN MANUFACTURING CO. / NEWBURYPORT, MASS / PAT. APR. 9, 1869. Smooth white grip panels. Flayderman 8A-036.

    Condition: 1.) Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of wear and pitting. Marred screws. Scuffs and dings to grips. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. 2.) Fine. Retaining approximately 90-92% finish with scattered signs of wear and patches of pitting. Minor scuffs to grips. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
