    Lot of Two Engraved Philadelphia Deringers.
    Comprising: 1.) Unserialized, .44 caliber, 2 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Scroll engraved lock, hammer, upper tang and triggerguard. Checkered hardwood stock. 2.) Unserialized, .44 caliber, 2 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Scroll engraved lock, upper tang and triggerguard. Smooth hardwood stock with wood ramrod. Hinged storage compartment to gripcap. Each with scroll engraved shield escutcheon to wrist. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 593 and 10938 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

    Condition: 1.) Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina, with noticeable wear and pitting. Heavy scuffs and dings to wood. 2.) Very good. Retaining 30-40% finish, with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Crack throughout wrist, from triggerguard to triggerguard.
    Actions good. Moderately pitted bores.
