Serial no. 2099 [barrel hinge] and 149 [frame under grip], .32 caliber, 3-inch barrel cluster with fixed front brass sight and frame notch rear sight. Scroll engraved brass frame, left side marked: WM W MARSTON / PATENTED / MAY 20, 1857 / NEW YORK CITY / IMPROVED 1864. Spur trigger. Barrel selection switch to right side of frame. Case-hardened hammer. Smooth mother-of-pearl grip panels.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with noticeable wear and patches of pitting. Minor loss to edge of left grip panel. Noticeable repair to right panel at screw hole. Action good.
