Description
Engraved Allen & Thurber Top Hammer Pepperbox.Serial no. 62 [frame under grips and inside grip panels], .31 caliber, 3 3/8-inch barrel cluster marked: ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER. Scroll engraved nipple guard and frame. ALLEN'S PATENT / 1845 to top hammer. Smooth walnut grip panels.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Few scattered dings present to wood. Action tight, but functions. Pitted bores.
