Ainsworth Inspected U.S. Colt Single Action Revolver Restored by Tommy Haas. Serial no. 2442, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with Hartford address in italics. Ainsworth sub-inspector marks on barrel, frame and cylinder. Doughnut ejector tip. Blued finish. Case-hardened frame and hammer. Left side of frame stamped U.S. and with two-line patent date. Smooth, one-piece walnut grips with OWA cartouche on left panel. Condition: Excellent as restored. Retaining approximately 95-98% of re-blued finish. Light edge wear observed at muzzle. Edge wear and tracking lines on cylinder. Vibrant case colors. Tuned action.Auction Info
