    7th Cavalry Custer U.S. Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
    Serial no. 5109 [frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: - COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. -. Two-line, two-date patent and U.S. stamped to left side of frame. O.W. Ainsworth "A" inspector mark to triggerguard, cylinder and backstrap. Carved checkering to one-piece walnut grip. Manufactured in 1874. Sold along with multiple letters regarding specifics and conversations about the revolver: Two John A. Kopec typed letters (dated November 24, 2015 and March 8, 1975; handwritten Kopec letter dated November 25, 2015; typed undated letter from Robert G. Cox to Kopec; typed letter from Robert G. Cox to R.H. Wagner at Colt Firearms (dated January 30, 1970); handwritten letter from Cox to Kopec (dated March 16, 1975); typed Colt letter from Wagner to Cox (dated February 19, 1970).

    Condition: Good as configured. Finish primarily a dull grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and Pitting. Tracking line to cylinder. Modifications and replacements listed in first Kopec letter (dated November 24, 2015). Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore.
