    19th Century Niello Silver Mounted Caucasian Miquelet Pistol.

    Unserialized, .54 caliber, 12 1/2-inch part round part octagonal tapered barrel. Steel lock of typical form and struck with maker's mark. Damascus barrel with single silver band [mark near breech]. Black leather covered stock with niello silver mounts all around including wrist area, underside and pommel [ball butt]. Two coral stones decorate upper wrist area. Stock made without provision for ramrod. Button trigger. Overall length approximately 17 1/2-inches.

    Condition: Good. Metal with dark age patina and scattered pitting. Lockplate a bit loose. Various dings, stress separations and losses to leather and wood. Leather on stock is thin / gone near muzzle. Moderate tarnish to silver with few dents and bruising. Action works. Bore ok.
