19th Century Dagestan Niello Silver Mounted Miquelet Lock Ball-Butted Pistol.

Unserialized, approximately .62 caliber, 13 1/4-inch barrel. Steel lock of typical form with makers mark. Three large Niello silver, 2 1/2-inch barrel bands along with fourth band towards muzzle. Hardwood stock, leather-wrapped with niello silver mounts on wrist area, upper and lower tangs and two stage pommel [ball butt] with swivel-lanyard device. Steel ramrod present. Button trigger. Overall length approximately 19 1/2-inches. Note: Interesting fact, impressive ball butt improves grip and aim overall, probably 1800-1850.

Condition: Fine to excellent, one of the nicest examples we have seen. Metal with age patina and light scattered pitting. Minor tarnish to silver with few dents, separations and bruising concentrating to barrel bands. Action appears to function but it is extremely tight, was not completely cocked. Bore is ok.
