World's Columbian Exposition: Two Printed Documents and a Press Badge with Ribbon. The documents are a pair of 5.5" x 4" printed documents from M.P. Handy, Chief of the Department of Publicity and Promotion. These were to be returned to the incredibly efficient and prolific Moses Handy by members of the press. One notes that "[Magazine Name] which is published at [city] will be represented by [Number of working reporters] who will need accommodations (sic) as members of the press for the Dedication." The second printed document asks the members of the press to be sure to complete and send this first document to Handy no later than September 15 in order secure seats at the October dedication. The third item here is a wearable ticket and press badge--each member of the press covering the events of the Dedication received a blue silk ribbon reading in gold "PRESS-World's Columbian Exposition-Dedication-October 21, 1892." From the collection of Norm Bolotin.
