World's Columbian Exposition: Columbia Rolling Chair Company Ticket. We have seen no more than two at auction over the last 10 years. The 4.25" x 3" yellow ticket is number 13832 and probably exists in such exceedingly small numbers because they were filled out with attendants' numbers and needed to be turned in for them to be paid. None were ever in the hands of the public. This reads "Good for one Single Chair, with attendant, for 10 consecutive hours, $6.00 paid." There is a space for each attendant's number to be filled in, presumably with the number of hours spent. The attendants were uniformed, neat and tidy young men who spent their day wheeling a guest around the grounds. Presumably they received decent tips, too. A rarity that is in very few collections. Doolin No. 36. From the collection of Norm Bolotin.

The resulting auction of my property overwhelmed me. I want to thank Tom Slater and the Heritage team for a very satisfactory experience and profitable result with my historical consignment.
