ST. LOUIS WORLD'S FAIR PAPERWEIGHTS - LOT OF 6.

Lot of 6 different St. Louis World's Fair paperweights.  Three are glass domed, 3" in diameter paper backed with the a sepia scene of the Cascades which has red discoloration due to the 'bleeding' of the back label on the paperweight.  Poor cond.  The next pictures a strong sepia imade of the Cascades while the other is a bright sepia scene of Festival Hall.  No chips or cracks on these three.  The others in the lot are rectangular in shape, 2-1/2"X4" with a sepia picture of Gen. Grant and his tomb in NY.  (Possibly sold at the fair). This has numerous cracking on the edge of the design and some flaking in the field. Fair cond.  The other two are bright & clean with one picturing "Forest Park, St. Louis, MO" and a scene of the "Cascades."  No chips or cracks on these three.   Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
