St. Louis World's Fair Pin Tray Picturing Theodore Roosevelt, lithographed aluminum with scalloped edges, foliate corners, 5" x 3.25". Made for the famous 1904 Exposition, this souvenir shows the Louisiana Purchase Monument amid portraits of Teddy Roosevelt, Napoleon Bonaparte, Thomas Jefferson, and David R. Francis. David R. Francis? Of course! He was the distinguished President of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition Company. This item may also be considered a political campaign item since Roosevelt was seeking a second term at the time of the exposition. A few trivial scuff marks on both sides with a pencil inscription on the verso. Overall fine condition.
