Ironstone Centennial Exposition Pitcher and Bowl Set depicting the buildings that were the major attractions to this 1876 fair. In patterns and colors typical of the period, the "Main Building" and the "Art Gallery" are pictured on the pitcher. Embellished around the rim with a flower motif, the pitcher, at 9.25" tall, does have crazing and a crack that runs from spout to base. The washbowl is a large 14" in diameter with the floral design around the rim and a transfer of the "Horticulture Hall" in the center. With only a minor hairline along one edge and some discoloration to the ironstone, the bowl presents in exceptional condition. Souvenirs of these expositions are sought after treasures by many collectors but the 1876 Centennial representing our country's 100th birthday is one of the hardest to find items for.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
