George Washington 1876 Centennial Spode Pitcher was made by W. T. Copeland & Sons. Standing at an impressive 11" tall, this pitcher shows the image of Washington with an eagle over head on one side and commemorates "A Memorial of the Centennial" on the opposite side. Rimmed in gold along the edge and handle this piece makes a powerful appearance. Minor age spotting to the porcelain could be cleaned if need be, but the general overall condition is excellent. There is one small chip hidden on the underside of the base which cannot be seen except on close examination. Of Washington centennial pieces this pitcher certainly makes a prestigious presentation.
