    1904 ST. LOUIS WORLD'S FAIR SWORD & SCABBARD.

    26" long sword with etched on the blade:  "Jefferson Guard" with a decorative motif and signed there the hand meets the blade--one the blade "Ames Sword Co., Chicopee, Mass."   On the other side of the blade is:  "Louisiana Purchase Exposition" and where the handle meets the blade is "Number 724."  The heavy brass & wood hilt are the initials "J.G.".  The sheath is brass with a black leather wrapping, which is separating in the center.  Easily repairable. Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
