    Description

    Space Shuttle Endeavour Flown NASA and Space Center Houston Emblems Directly from the Estate of NASA Legend Chris Kraft, on Wooden Tabletop Presentation, with Certificate of Authenticity. Two enameled metal emblems, Space Center Houston (1" x 0.625") and NASA "meatball" logo (0.625" diameter) connected by a 2.25" goldtone chain mounted on a plaque at the top of this handsome 10.25" x 4" x 3.25" display above the text:

    "(These emblems were flown aboard the Orbiter "Endeavour" on Space Shuttle mission STS-54 in January 1993.) Presented to CHRISTOPHER C. KRAFT, JR. These two emblems, depicting the strong link between the NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston are presented to you in recognition of your many contributions to making Space Center Houston a reality."

    It is signed in facsimile by Aaron Cohen as Director, Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. This would look so good on your desk! Excellent. This item was kept by Kraft in the west bookshelf of his office at home.

    Space Center Houston is a science museum which serves as the official visitor center of NASA's Johnson Space Center. It opened in 1992 and its 250,000 square feet houses 400 space artifacts including several flown capsules- Mercury-Atlas 9 ( Faith 7), Gemini 5, and Apollo 17. STS-54 was the third flight of the Endeavour which deployed a Tracking and Data Relay Satellite during its January 1993 mission.
