Walt Cunningham's College and Astronaut Slide Rule Originally from this Personal Collection. A Frederick Post Co. 1950s-era model 1460 Versalog celluloid and bamboo 10" slide rule with its original Post leather belt case. Carved into the inside of the case flap are his initials, "R W C". Shows some use and age toning but still in very fine condition.

Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Certification from Cunningham, in part: "After six years of active military service, in 1956, I returned to college to pursue a degree in physics. One of my first purchases was this Log Log Duplex Decitrig slide rule. Before the age of personal computers, I was absolutely fascinated with the power of this essential tool... I used it through Junior College, College, and four years of Graduate School. When I joined NASA as an astronaut in 1963, I continued to use it for engineering calculations..."
