DescriptionSpace Shuttle Columbia, Challenger, and Discovery Flown Main Engine High Pressure Fuel Turbopump Labyrinth Seal. Large 7.5" diameter seal (serial no. 8509170) that was flown on eleven total shuttle missions (including STS-1 through STS-4). Impressive piece of flown hardware handsomely displayed on a 11.75" x 15.75" wood plaque. Two incorporated metal plaques are located above and below the seal containing information regarding missions flown (STS-1, STS-2, STS-3, STS-4, STS-61-C, STS-41-B, STS-41-C, STS-51-C, STS-51-D, STS-51-G, STS-51-I). Included are three original Rocketdyne photos pertaining to the item, as well as a printout that documents the serial number was flown on all eleven flights. Incredible piece of hardware that spans eleven flights and five years of the Shuttle program, including the very beginning of the program. Excellent.
