    Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-6) Manufactured and Flown Polystyrene Spheres in Presentation. An 8" x 7" x 0.75" wooden plaque titled "Made in Space Aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger" and containing a small vial, a shuttle graphic, and the information about these spheres: "'The First Space Product' This vial contains Polystyrene Spheres (10 micrometers in diameter) in solution, that were manufactured in space aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger during NASA STS-6 Mission, 4-9 April 1983 - Challenger's Maiden Flight. These microscopic plastic beads are so small that 18,000 could fit on the head of a pin..." This limited edition commemorative plaque has a numbered sticker on the back, "CM4141". Included is a copy of a National Bureau of Standards Certificate regarding this substance. Excellent.
