    Precision handmade satellite model

Soviet Vintage Zenit-2 No. 2 / Kosmos 4 Spy Satellite Model on Base. A painstakingly handmade metal model from RKK Energia of the first Soviet military surveillance satellite to successfully reach orbit with a design derivative of the manned Vostok spacecraft. Kosmos 4 was launched April 26, 1962, on a Vostok-K rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome; it orbited three days before parachuting down on April 29th. This model is 9.5" tall and 3.5" across (both including projecting parts) on a 4" x 4" wooden base. Note the detailed workmanship in the high-resolution photos on our website. Very fine.
