    The first artificial satellite of the moon

    Soviet Vintage Luna 10 Spacecraft Model on Base Signed by and Originally from the Collection of Cosmonaut Anatoly Berezovoy. A 12" tall (overall) extremely-detailed exclusive resin and metal model on a 4" diameter base signed by Berezovoy and once owned by this highly-decorated Cosmonaut who served as Deputy President of the Russian Space Federation for most of the 1990s. Luna 10 was launched from an orbiting platform on March 31, 1966, and entered lunar orbit four days later. The battery-powered spacecraft operated for 460 lunar orbits; radio signals were lost on May 30, 1966. Numerous scientific experiments were carried out during its mission. Very fine.
