    "I wore this shirt throughout our deorbit, entry, and splashdown"

    Skylab I (SL-2) Flown and Worn Shirt Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Paul Weitz, with Signed LOA. A brown crewneck knit shirt with two stretch and snap tabs and a zip-close pocket on the left breast. The label at the back inside hem contains the following information:

    S/N: 1256
    CONTRACT NO: NAS9-8309
    DATE OF MFG: 11-16-72
    The tag is defaced with diagonal red felt tip markings. This is the first such item we have offered. Shows only light wear. Fine.

    Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Authenticity from Weitz on his letterhead stating, in full: "I hereby certify that this shirt was worn by me during the Skylab I mission, May 25 to June 22, 1973. I wore this shirt throughout our deorbit, entry and splashdown. It is from my personal collection of space memorabilia."
