    Description

Skylab: "America's First Space Workshop" Large Platinum Medal Directly from the Personal Collection of Skylab 4 Pilot William Pogue, with Signed LOA. This is one we're not familiar with, a large 59mm medal weighing approximately 90.8 grams. The obverse depicts a map of North and South America with the bold title "Skylab" decorated with stars and planets. The reverse has the NASA emblem above the Skylab space station with a docked CS/M above the earth; the "America's First Space Workshop" slogan is above and the "1973" date below. The hallmarks appear to indicate that this was Japanese minted in 100% pure platinum. Rare and desirable. Toned, but in excellent condition.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
