    Description

Paul Calle Signed Limited Edition "The Great Moment" Print, #659/950. A 37" x 24.5" print of a Calle painting of Neil Armstrong's first step on the moon, issued in 1989 upon the twentieth anniversary of the first manned moon landing. The original painting was signed by Armstrong and his signature is visible at lower left in this reproduction. Paul Calle was a legendary space artist, one of a handful chosen by NASA to document the race to the moon but the only one who was actually with Armstrong in the hours prior to launch. Pencil signed and numbered by Calle only in lower left margin. Great for display. Original COA material included. Stored rolled, very fine. From the family collection of the late Tom McFadden.
