Description

Neil Armstrong Signed 1947 Blume High School Yearbook, The Retrospect, Wapakoneta, Ohio. An 8" x 11" hardbound book of eighty-eight pages, with padded and embossed covers. This was the senior year for Neil Armstrong and he signed this copy for senior classmate Shirley Schultz. His "Neil Armstrong" ink signature in an interesting block letter style appears on page twelve next to his senior picture. This is his only signature but we note additional photos on: pages 44-45 (Band group and officers photos); page 52 (Senior Hi-Y group photo); page 57 (School Council group and officers photos); and page 65 (Retrospect Staff group photo). Quite the leader, even in high school. Some minor damage to the cover but contents are generally fine. A statement from a paper conservator is included that reports on some minor hinge mending and restoration with Japanese paper.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
