    Gemini Program memento

    Neil Armstrong's Personally Engraved Zippo Lighter as Presented at "The Final Gemini Rendezvous," December 2, 1966, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. An unused brushed finish Model 200 Zippo lighter in original box with his typed name taped on the top. Inside is a very special memento of the Gemini Program. On one side is engraved "Neil Armstrong/ Gemini VIII/ Command Pilot". The other side has a gilt program logo attached and "Final Gemini Rendezvous/ Dec. 2, 1966" engraved below. This was a farewell celebration given by the managers and staff of The Gemini Program at Moody Center in Galveston, Texas, just days after the final mission of the program, Gemini 12. A one-of-a-kind relic of his first space flight. Like new. CAG 1002086-021. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
