    Description

Neil Armstrong's Owned and Worn Pair of Aviator Goggles from His Days of Flight Lessons at Port Koneta Airport, Directly from the Personal Collection of Neil's Brother Dean Armstrong. A pair of simple World War II style green-tinted curved wide vision safety goggles. The two eyepieces are held together by a leather strap at the nose and an elastic band provides adjustment to the head. These were purchased at the airfield for Armstrong to use for solo flights in an open cockpit plane and his brother saved them for posterity. A true museum-quality relic of the sixteen-year old future moonwalker. A rare opportunity. Well-worn with scratches and chips to the glass, good. This lot will be accompanied by a signed COA from Neil Armstrong's brother, Dean.
