    Description

    Neil Armstrong's First Rifle, a Stevens Crack Shot Single Shot .22, Given to Him by His Grandfather, Directly from His Brother's Collection. Unserialized, 20-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. "CRACK SHOT" stamped to top of barrel. Rolling block action. Two-piece oil-finished walnut stocks. Crescent metal buttplate. His first, used by him and brother Dean on the farm. A Certificate of Authenticity from Neil's brother Dean Armstrong will accompany this lot.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with heavy signs of handling wear, age and pitting. Some wood loss to edges of fore-end. Scattered scuffs, dings and trivial nicks present to wood. Thumb lever for action is absent. Action needs adjustment. Lightly pitted bore.
