    Astronaut-worn name tags

Neil Armstrong Owned and Worn Original Apollo-Era "N.A. ARMSTRONG" Leather Flight Suit Name Tag as Given to a Member of the Prime Crew who Serviced His T-38 Plane at Ellington AFB in Pasadena. A fabulous item from the first man to walk on the moon. Standard issue 4" x 2" with gold stamped name on black leather tag with Velcro on the back. Several of the astronauts gifted the name tags off their flight suits as they turned their T-38 over for servicing to our consignor. Incredibly rare and desirable. Light wear, very fine.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
