    Description

Neil Armstrong, Cardwell International Chairman of the Board: A Working Oil Well Desktop Display Gifted to His Brother Dean and Directly from His Collection. A highly-detailed milled brass oil well of approximately 6.5" x 5.25" x 2" mounted on a 9" x 3" x 5" wooden base containing the mechanism triggered by a button on top (not tested- requires batteries). On the front of the base is a brass slot containing a Cardwell business card of Neil Armstrong as Chairman of the Board, a position he held from 1980 to 1982. A unique piece associated with Armstrong's first business venture after retiring from the University of Cincinnati. Very fine. A Certificate of Authenticity from Neil's brother Dean Armstrong will accompany this lot.
