    Description

    U.S. NAVY & AVIATION

Navy Midshipman Neil A. Armstrong's Handwritten Quarters' Address at Saufley Field, circa 1950, Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified and Encapsulated by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty. A 5.5" x 2.5" sheet with the following written in pencil by Armstrong:

    "Midshipman Neil A. Armstrong
    Bldg. 873, Room 107
    N. A. A. S. Saufley Field
    Pensacola Florida"

Midshipman Armstrong qualified as a Naval Aviator on August 6, 1950, and was commissioned an ensign the next June placing this piece within that date range. It seems possible that this was excised from a letter home. Absolutely unique. Very fine, sealed in a numbered archival holder. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
