NASA Cape Canaveral Mercury Launch Complex 14 Artifacts (Three). The famous LC-14 pad from which all four manned orbital Mercury missions were launched beginning with Mercury-Atlas 6 (Friendship 7). Here are three great relics from that historical site. (1) A 3" x 0.75" red-painted fragment of the gantry. (2) A 6" x 3.875" sign "RP-1 Fill Valve". (3) The RP-1 fuel valve cap, 2.625" diameter x 1" deep with attached chain, made by Russell & Stoll Co. of New York. RP-1 stands for Rocket Propellant-1 or Refined Petroleum-1 and is a highly-refined type of kerosene used for powering rockets. How cool would it be to add these to your Space display! Well-used as expected.
