NASA Astronauts and Mission Control Personnel: Collection of Nine Signed Beta Cloth Mission and NASA Insignias. A ready-made collection including the following.
Apollo 7: 9" square, signed in black ink: "Wally Schirra" and "Walt Cunningham". Very light mounting traces around edges on verso.
Apollo 8: 8.75" x 9", signed in black felt tip: "Frank Borman/ Apollo 8 CDR" and "James Lovell/ Apollo 8 CMP". The first of these signed by both that Heritage has offered. Very desirable. Light smudge at top left would mat or trim out.
Apollo 10: 9" square, signed in black felt tip: "Tom Stafford" and "Gene Cernan".
Apollo 12: 9" square, signed by the entire crew in black ink: "Charles Conrad", "Richard Gordon", and "Alan Bean". This is originally from the personal collection of Alan Bean and was purchased from Heritage in our May 2014 auction of his material. An extraneous arrow drawn at top.
Apollo 13: 8.25" x 8", signed in black felt tip: "James Lovell/ Apollo 13 CDR" and "Fred Haise/ Apollo 13 LMP".
    Skylab I (SL-2): 9" square, signed in black felt tip: "Joe Kerwin/ SPT/ 404 Orbits/ 28 Days in Space" and "Paul Weitz/ PLT/ May 25 - June 22, 1973".
Skylab III (SL-4): 8.25" x 9", signed by the entire crew in black felt tip: "Ed Gibson", "Jerry Carr", and "Bill Pogue".
    NASA Meatball Logo: 8.5" x 5.75", signed as follows: "W. Thornton", "Fred Haise/ Apollo 13 LMP", "Karol 'Bo' Bobko/ STS 6 Pilot/ STS 51 D CMDR/ STS 51 J CMDR", and "Bob Crippen/ STS-1, 7, 41C, 41G". Room for additional autographs. A flattened horizontal fold.
NASA Meatball Logo: 6.5" x 6", signed in black felt tip: "Gene Kranz", "Sy Liebergot/ Apollo EECOM", "Glynn S. Lunney", and "Chris Kraft". Room for additional autographs. Stitching at top, flattened folds.
An incredible grouping of these popular and very displayable mission emblems. Flaws noted, otherwise all excellent.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
