NACA Test Pilot: Take-Off and Landing Checklist for the Beechcraft SNB Kansan, Circa mid-1950s, Directly from The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. Neil Armstrong had the opportunity to fly many types of aircraft while with NACA at Edwards Air Force base, not all being of the high-speed variety. The checklist is printed on the recto and verso of a 5" x 3" card and lists the aircraft's performance specs, take-off, landing and emergency procedures. The card is marked with the document number ML-4465-15. Moderate soiling, staining, with light handling wear, very good overall. Sealed in a numbered archival folder, CAG 1002103-007. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.

Brief History of the Beechcraft SNB Kansan: The "twin Beech" was a twin-engine aircraft used extensively but not only by the military. It was widely employed by civilian and commercial concerns as well. It was continuously produced from 1937 until 1969. During WWII it was used primarily as a training aircraft for aircrews. After the war it was a popular business aircraft.
