Description

Mercury Seven Astronauts: Freedom 7 Transcript Signed by Shepard, Slayton, Glenn, Cooper, Schirra, and Carpenter, with NASA Decal and Cooper-Signed Cover. A six-page typed document on 8" x 10.5" NASA stationery, titled "The Transcript for the Flight of Freedom VII". It starts with the one minute mark in the countdown and ends with the recovery "Astronaut now on board." The front page has been signed in the right margin in different inks: "Alan Shepard", "D K Slayton", "John Glenn", "Gordon Cooper", "Wally Schirra", and "Scott Carpenter". Missing only Grissom. An interesting item related to America's first group of astronauts and our first space flight. Fine.

Also included in this lot is a vintage 5.75" diameter NASA "meatball" decal and a Gemini 5 launch cover, cancelled at Kennedy Space Center and signed: "Gordon Cooper". Both fine.
