A 5" x 1.5" pennant-shaped red enamel medal with the Soviet State Emblem and the text: "СОЮЗ СОВЕТСКИХ СОНИАЛИСТИЦЕСКИХ РЕСПУБЛИК" (USSR) enclosed in a 7.5" x 3.5" blue velvet-lined case. On the reverse is an emblem representing the trip from the Earth to the moon with "ЯНВАРЬ 1966Г" (January 1966) engraved. Also, a 2" x 1.875" pentagonal-shaped medal engraved "ЯНВАРЬ 1966Г" in the center with the same text as above around. The reverse features the Soviet State Emblem trimmed in red enamel. A handsome display originally only presented to Soviet dignitaries. Excellent.
