Gherman Titov's Owned and Worn Soviet Air Force Colonel General's (Three Star) Parade Uniform with Coat, Pants, Shirt, and Tie, Signed. From the second Soviet cosmonaut to fly in space, aboard Vostok 2, August 6-7, 1961. This was his last official parade/ dress uniform when he retired from the Air Force. It was purchased by a collector directly from Titov in 1992. Included is a print of a color photo taken of Titov wearing this very uniform. Note that he removed a few medals before he parted with it. All items excellent, as follows.

COAT: Fine dark blue wool, double breasted with a six gilt button front. Two lower flap pockets, light blue trim with gold bullion on cuffs, collar, and shoulder boards. Fine gold bullion wire rank insignia directly sewn to collars. Wide directly-sewn shoulder boards with three applied gold bullion stars on each. Fully lined in light blue satin with two inside breast pockets, no maker's tag. Signed and dated on inside right pocket.

DECORATIONS: On left breast: Hero of the Soviet Union medal above three rows of ribbons bearing two Order of Lenin medals and four others. On right breast: (1) Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR medal ("ЛЕТУИК КОСМОНАВТ СССР"), red enamel trim, suspended from red silk moiré ribbon. This is an official duplicate made by the mint for wear on a uniform jacket as the original was made of gold and platinum. This order was established in April 1961 and the medal is always worn on right side above all other medals; and (2) original Soviet Pilot-Cosmonaut Wings First Class, blue and red enamel over gilt. These are quite collectible in their own right; and (3) Air Force Academy medal, white and red enamel over gilt.

PANTS: Matching fine quality blue wool pants with light blue stripes outside each leg. Button fly, two slit-type front pockets, watch fob pocket, and a single rear pocket with flap.

SHIRT: Long sleeve white shirt with seven buttons, two button-flap chest pockets, elastic waist. No shoulder boards. Includes black elastic-neck tie.
